Description
Open since 2001, Dive-Time is the Algarve's longest established 5 star IDC centre. Situated on the marina in the historic seaside town of Lagos in Southern Portugal, we offer the full range of PADI courses; from Discover Scuba Diver right the way through to PADI IDC Staff Instructor.
We are affiliated with PADI - The Professional Association of Diving Instructors, the largest diving organisation in the world, which guarantees safety and satisfaction with all diving courses offered.
Dive Time offer the best in Wreck Diving, Technical diving, and Deep diving that Portugal has to offer, we also have learn to dive packages and well as try diving options. We also offer rebreather courses, drift diving, Nitrox diving, cave, cavern and night diving courses and experiences.
We have two fully equipped classrooms on site, a private pool used for confined water training and a fully stocked equipment store containing modern Aqualung and Apex diving equipment; all of which is regularly serviced in our onsite workshop.
We offer daily diving and snorkeling trips along the stunning Algarve Coast for divers of all experience levels.
As an IDC centre, we are able to offer courses from complete beginner to IDC Staff instructor, DAN Instructor courses, as well as technical diving through the DSAT system; also to instructor level. . Please use the links provided to continue browsing our site.

Diving group course for kids (1 day)PADI Bubblemaker Experience: for kids 8-10 years old. What You Learn: Experience what scuba diving is like under the direct care and supervision of PADI Instructors. Take their first breath underwater. Learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children – not adults. Children use all the basic scuba gear which is made for their size and stature. Diving group course for kids (1 day)PADI Seal Team: for kids 8-10 years old. For young divers who are looking for action-packed fun in a pool by doing exciting scuba AquaMissions. AquaMissions introduce you to wreck, navigation, buoyancy, underwater photography, environmental awareness and more. The best part of the Specialty AquaMissions is they reinforce save diving skills while the kids are having fun. PADI Seals get to sample a wide variety of dives. Develop skills, learn about the aquatic environment and have a lot of good, clean fun. This is also an excellent way to introduce kids to scuba diving prior to full Open Water Diver Certification. The program is broken into two parts: 1-AquaMissions 1 - 5, teaches kids the basics of diving - things like buoyancy control, mask clearing, regulator recovery, etc. After building a solid foundation of scuba skills, kids move on to part two. 2-This part is full of specialty AquaMissions, which usually last about an hour. Helps children learn responsibility. Teaches children about the aquatic environment. It is a fun pool-only experience and conducted by certified, trained PADI Professionals. We meet up at the diving centre at either 10.00 or 14.00 and after preparing the equipment and a short briefing head up to the pool for some fun! |

Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. Diving group course for family (2 days)PADI Scuba Diver Course (from 10 years old): This course requires less time than the PADI Open Water Diver course, covering only the first three of five sections of knowledge development, the first three of five pool sessions, and the first two of four open water training dives, resulting in a limited certification. Particularly if you expect to go scuba diving primarily in the company of a dive guide or if you have limited time to devote to scuba certification, consider becoming a PADI Scuba Diver. You will learn all the basics of scuba diving through knowledge development, a set of scuba skills in the pool that you’ll use again during open water dives, and an appreciation for the underwater world that will keep you coming back for more bottom time every chance you get! Second day, two sea dives from one of our boats, either in the morning
or aftrenoon. On completion of the course you will recieve the
certification and if you chose to upgrade to the Open Water Diver course
with Dive Time within 12 months of your course then we only charge the

Diving group course for adult (2 days)Wreck Diver Course (from 15 years old): Whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of mishap, wrecks open fascinating windows to the past. Most divers find wrecked ships, airplanes and even automobiles nearly irresistible because they’re intriguing to explore, exciting avenues of discovery, and usually teeming with aquatic life. The PADI Wreck Diver course teaches you the ins and outs of rewarding, responsible wreck diving. You will learn: Techniques for diving exploring shipwrecks, and how to avoid common hazards, How to research and learn the background of your favorite wrecks, Wreck scuba diving equipment considerations, Considerations and techniques for entering intact wrecks, Experience in planning, organizing and making at least four wreck dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving. Diving group course for family (3 days)PADI Open Water Diver Course: (from 10 years old) If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. Knowledge Development (online home study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving. Confined Water (pool) Dives to learn basic scuba skills. Open Water (sea) Dives to review your skills and explore! Day one meet at 9.30 and complete the theory part of the course (exept if you have completes eLearning then the classroom sessions are not necessary). Day two in the morning we complete the confined water skills and in the afternoon take a dive in the sea. Day three we complete the remaining open water dives in either the morning or afternoon. During the course, you’ll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. |
